The Human Animal Bond Research Initiative (HABRI) Foundation, based in Washington,
D.C., announced that Easton, Pa.-based Phillips Pet Food & Supplies has joined the organization’s
steering committee and made a
$25,000 contribution to support
research on the human health
benefits of companion animals.

London-based Beco Pets, maker of eco-friendly pet products,
launched a sales and distribution
deal with Pet Product Innovations of Chicago.
Pet Product Innovations founder David Levy, a 19-year veteran of
the U.S. pet industry and founder
of Zeus & Co. pet supply, has been
signed as Beco Pets’ master distributor in the U.S.
Beco Pets also has partnerships with Animal Supply Co.,
Pet Food Experts, Frontier Distributing and Rio Grande.

Vario Collection, expanded colors in the Freestyle Rope Collection, and an expansion in dinnerware, innovative dog toys and
Hunter, a family-owned business, has manufactured accessories for dogs and cats since 1980.
Pet Palette LLC, based in
Sykesville, Md., is a national distributor of U.S. brands in the pet
specialty market. In 2015, Pet Palette was chosen as the exclusive
U.S. distributor for Hunter.
