Dog is Good LLC launched PopSocket, “a small
cellphone accessory designed to adhere to the
back of the phone or case that pops out easily for
use as a grip, a stand and more,” said Gila Kurtz,
co-founder, co-owner and vice president of sales
for the Los Alamitos, Calif., company. The manu-
facturer also released PopClip, which allows users
to mount their mobile devices to a dashboard, a mirror, a
wall and more for convenient, hands-free viewing.
Francisco, plans to launch Cat-

said Bill Parsons, sales supervisor.
“Cat Teepee features wood
poles and canvas material and a
couple different prints to choose
from,” Parsons said.
Striving to raise the level of comfort, convenience and opportunity
for owners to showcase their lifestyles, Triboro Quilt Manufacturing
Corp. released its Tall Tails brand Dream Sleeper Bed and pet gift
sets—Best Buddy Gift Set and Puppy Gift Set—at Global Pet Expo.

the company’s pet beds, BuddyRest in Wichita, Kan., decided to create
a high-quality option that accentuated the styling of their current
products. Trevor Crotts, president, described the company’s new line of
pet throws and blankets as “designed to provide a stylish, high-quality
option to further increase the comfort of pets.”
U.S. companies are not the only
ones introducing pet lifestyle products
at SuperZoo. Bowsers Pet Products in Toronto expects to
premiere a line of memory foam crate mattresses.
“A lot of people are looking for memory foam, so
we’re adding a line of memory foam crate mattresses,”
said Linda Brown, vice president of design. “These will help
dogs with hip problems or issues with pressure points or hot
spots because they regulate the body temperature and create
airflow. A cool gel keeps them from getting hot while
lying on them.”
And Wellington, New Zealand-based Heyrex Ltd.
will offer a 2-liter Torus bowl in pink along with a prototype
bag at the show. The bowls offer a midway price point and

“I’ve been housesitting for friends’ pets, and
when I take them on a walk, I have pockets full of
treats, keys, poo bags, etc., and carry water bowls,”
Goldsworthy said about the thinking behind the
product. “We’ll have a prototype for SuperZoo.”
Beyond show releases, retailers and their
customers can expect design expansions from Dog is Good in its
Never-Ever line and from Island Dog Design Inc. for its natural beds, as
well as a new line from BuddyRest Pet Products.
“The small Torus bowls launched in the fourth quarter
of last year, and they made the Top 20 recently on Amazon
under ‘cat,’” said Kim Goldsworthy, general manager of sales
Island Dog’s new natural fauna and oceanic themes feature
“old-fashioned natural diagrams or line drawings of shells and fauna,
reflecting natural beauty,” said Ileana van der Linde, co-owner of the
New York company.
To provide a grab-and-go solution for dog owners, Heyrex
developed a neoprene-style bag to hold the Torus bowl that
includes two pockets—one for a phone, money, etc., and the
other for treats and poo bags.
