Pet Product News: The made in the USA trend
is particularly strong in consumable categories
such as pet food, treats and supplements. What
is driving demand for pet toys that are made in

driving demand for consumable catego-
ries—primarily, safety. When products
are made in the USA, companies have
greater control and visibility into what
goes into their products, and that their
products are made in socially and envi-
ronmentally responsible ways.
As the pet humanization trend
continues, pet parents are increasingly
concerned about what goes in their
dogs’ mouths. Just like they might worry
West Paw makes all of its products in the U.S., and
80 percent of its materials come from U.S. vendors,
according to Spencer Williams, CEO and founder of
the Bozeman, Mont.-based company.
