products, we see so many that use natural in-
gredients [as well as] enzyme-based products.

Customers will pay more for quality, conve-
nience and odor control, insiders said.
“More people are asking for rakes and
shovel pickup systems, and scented cleanup
bags—such as lavender and clean scented—are
more popular in the past few years,” said April
Ruhl, store manager at Keystone Pet Place in
Mount Joy, Pa. “People are trying to be more
eco-friendly, use fewer bags and make the
cleanup process more glamorous. They’ll pay
extra for a nice-smelling bag.”
