NEW LOOK FOR ZUKE’S TREATS
Zuke’s has created new packaging for its lineup of dog
treats. Every detail of the new design is authentic—from
photos taken near Zuke’s headquarters in Durango,
Colo., featuring local pet lovers and their pups, to a topography map of the Durango mountain area, which
serves as the bags’ background, reinforcing the company’s ties to the area.
The front of the pouch features a more prominent
Zuke’s logo, making it easier to find the natural treats
on the shelf, along with a larger product window to increase visibility and enhance transparency of the product inside. Below the window are highlighted product
features and benefits. A sourcing flag in the upper-left
corner describes where the treat was crafted, and col-or-coded formulas and product families make it easier
for shoppers to recognize their favorite treat and flavors.
As part of the new design, the back of the package
connects to the founder’s story of how Zuke’s originated
back in 1995. To celebrate the company’s roots, a mountain peak graphic represents where it all began, and a
fun trail map visual, complete with interest points, communicates additional product claims.
Without changing the net weight of the product,
Zuke’s reduced the size of the treat pouches by 20 percent to enhance the sustainability of the packaging.
SMALLER SIZES
Sarasota, Fla.-based Einstein Pets’ healthful treats with all-natural ingredients are now available in Juniors, smaller-sized togo bags. The 2-ounce bags are designed for on-the-go healthful treating and fit perfectly in a pocket, bag or car, providing
a convenient and nutritious superfood snack for pets. Juniors
bags are available in six flavors: PB’N Jelly Time, Cha Cha
Coconut, Pumpkin Time, Turkey Time, Black & Whites and
Sweet Potato.
STYLISH NEW CUP
Nutri-Vet Wellness of Boise, Idaho, has reformulated and repackaged its Nutri-Vet Hairball Soft
Chews for cats in a stylish cup. As cats groom
themselves, they ingest hair, which can build up
and cause hairballs. Regular brushing and the use
of Nutri-Vet Hairball Soft Chews helps support the
reduction of hairball buildup, according to company officials. The Cheese & Chicken Flavor soft
chews are made for cats of all sizes. They are now
offered in an 80-count resealable cup.
NOW IN SQUEEZABLE BONE BOTTLES
Organic Oscar, an organic, all-natural, biodegradable pet
product company in San Diego, released a squeezable version
of its patented bone-shaped bottle this summer. All the company’s shampoos will come in the bottle, giving the brand a
new look. The conditioner will not come in the bone-shaped
bottle. Along with the new formulas and front label design,
the change is giving a fresh boost to the 6-year-old company,
Organic Oscar officials reported.
