“Expect the unexpected.;Always be open to changes and
new things. You will see, hear and experience new ideas on
how to grow and be better at what you do.;Attendees share
a common excitement of the pet industry, which makes
it a great place to network and share ideas about how to
improve business.”—JUSAK YANG;BERNHARD, co-owner of
TailsSpin Pet Stuff, which has stores in Georgia
“On the first day, we start at one side of the showroom floor
(the side opposite the foods) and try to get through at least half,
keeping a good pace and only stopping short times at booths that
really interest us. We take information and make notes about the
booths that we wish to return to and order from on the third day.
The New Product Showcase we attend the second morning, and
then [we] proceed with attempting to cover the second half of the
floor. We generally finish up with the food side of the showroom
floor on the third day, and [then] place our orders with all booths
on the floor that interested us.”—ALISON SCHWARTZ, store manager for All Pets Considered in Greensboro, N.C.
What is your best tip for getting
the most from the show?
search on the health benefits of
pets can boost pet ownership,
with 87 percent of pet owners
saying they would be more
likely to recommend a pet to a
friend or family member and
81 percent saying they would
be more likely to get another
pet in the future.
So, in carrying out your
own company mission on the
show floor and every day, you
are already making an impact
on the human-animal bond. If
you are having a great SuperZoo, now is the perfect time
to consider doing even more
by joining with WPA in supporting the scientific research
on the health benefits of pet
ownership. The human-animal bond makes the pet industry stronger, and, now more
than ever, the pet industry is
responsible for bringing the
healing power of the pet effect
to life for everyone.
