throughout the show, starting on Tuesday, June 26, at
the opening day networking reception, which will feature a replica Statue of Liberty, important historical figures and more, Moreau said.
“A recent survey conducted by American Certified
found that other than price or quality, the factor most
important to consumers when purchasing a product
was whether it was made in the United States,” she said.
“The second most important factor was whether or not
it was ‘locally made.’”
Visitors to the new showcase will discover a variety
of product launches, from food to bedding to toys.
For example, RuffDawg (booth 1112) is showcasing
its new Indestructible Dawg-Nuts, which come in two
sizes and assorted colors. They feature a lifetime replacement guarantee.
“We are known for toys that are 100 percent made
in the USA, safe, durable, fun and ready for their close-
up on social media,” said Jerry Moffett, vice president
of sales and marketing for the Worcester, Mass.-based
company. He added that as millennials become the larg-
est group of pet product consumers, their feedback and
comments about the products they use is directing Ruff-
Dawg’s product development.
“We are seeing a more-informed consumer,” he said.
“They are savvy enough to seek out and purchase the
best-quality, most attractive toys they can find—both
online and in stores—but are quick to vocally make a
switch if those toys are not delivering.”
Molly Mutt (booth 6148) is launching wool-filled
