“With the world more connected than ever—and technology
constantly evolving—pet owners have shown an increased
interest in innovative ways to keep their pets healthy and
safe and to monitor their well-being.”
—Jacinthe Moreau of the World Pet Association
in response to growing exhibitor demand. SuperZoo
exhibitors have asked the show’s organizers for an easier
way to showcase their cutting-edge products, and WPA
was pleased to respond, Moreau added.
In terms of what’s trending in pet product technology, Moreau said that consumers value the interactivity of
various tech products. They also appreciate the accuracy
and real-time tracking capabilities of products such as pet
wearables and smart collars.
“As a result, we wanted to bring the best of the best
of these products into our Pet Tech Center to help the retailers in attendance align their offerings with consumer
demand,” Moreau added.
According to Moreau, the exhibitors in the Pet Tech
Center have been carefully vetted to ensure that retailers
will see the most cutting-edge products on the market.
She said the Pet Tech Center poses an excellent opportunity for retailers to see the hottest tech products, all in
“The center will feature companies that are produc-
ing some of the most innovative pet gear on the market
and are really going above and beyond to innovate and
problem solve with the help of new technological tools,”
she said. “Innovations will include Bluetooth/Wi-Fi-con-
nected feeders and waterers, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi-connected
litterboxes, GPS trackers, pet activity trackers, automatic
pet door openers, pet monitoring cameras, smart pet beds
Moreau said that WPA anticipates quite a bit of ac-
tivity and buzz around this new area from both eager
retailers and interested media.
“The Pet Tech Center is the first-ever high-tech showcase at SuperZoo, so there’s no doubt it will be very exciting,” she said. •
